Module 1: Encountering the Universe

An Introduction to the New Cosmology

Section 1: Wednesdays 7:00 – 9:00 PM ET (US): Sept. 22, 2021 – Dec. 15, 2021
Section 2: Fridays 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM ET (US): Sept. 24, 2021 – Dec. 17, 2021

Week 1 (Sept. 22)Course Overview and Introductions —  Where do we see transformation happening and a call for leadership? What’s trying to be born now? Where do we feel called to make a contribution?

Week 2 (Sept. 29): Pod Meetings — How do we see leadership and a way of being within the context of deep past and deep future?

Week 3 (Oct. 6): Principle One — Context (with Brian Swimme) —  Brian Swimme will paint the big picture of a universe characterized by cosmogenesis and its implications for leadership and our way of being.

Week 4 (Oct. 13): Pod Meetings — What are the implications of a cosmic context for leadership and our lives? 

Week 5 (Oct. 20): Principle Two — Matrix: Embeddedness/Relationships (with Ursula Goodenough)  Quantum Theory tells us that everything is part of a vast field of creativity.  Biology tells us that all living beings are related.  This utterly transforms our world view of humans as being separate to one of relationality with the whole. 

Week 6 (Oct. 27): Principle Two– Matrix Leadership Through Resonance & Dissonance with Matt Cobb.  Leadership happens with vision and inside of complex relationships.  Exploring adaptive leadership which was developed for evolution, Matt explores how emergence happens through resonance AND dissonance.

Week 7 (Nov. 3):  Pod MeetingsWe explore embeddedness and relationality and the implications for leadership and our way of being in the world?

Week 8 (Nov. 10):  Principle Three — Interiority and Leadership, with Gail Worcelo.  Sr. Gail Worcelo, co-founder (with Thomas Berry) of the Green Mountain Monastery, will share practices and perspectives to embrace subjectivity in an ecozoic perspective that are crucial for leaders to foster emergence.

Week 9 (Nov. 17):  Pod MeetingsApplying the principle of “Interiority” within groups.  How does understanding that the whole universe has interiority(subjectivity) change leadership and our way of being?

Week 10 (Dec. 1): Principle Four — Action (Enacting the Ecozoic)  with Herman Greene   Action inside a deeptime perspective is participating in evolution to bring about an Ecozoic Era through Equity, Inclusion, Diversity and Sustainability.   How does this view change our notions of leadership and our way of being?

Week 11 (Dec. 8):  Pod MeetingsApplying the principle of  “Action” as participating in evolution within groups.  How does this view change leadership and how we personally and organizationally making decisions?

Week 12 (Dec. 15):  Final Integration — Celebration of the fruits of our journey together and harvesting inspirations for the future.

 

 

Module 2:  Expressing the Universe

Applying the New Cosmology (Case Studies)

Section 2: Fridays 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM ET (US): Jan. 14, 2022 – March 25, 2022

Week 1 (Jan. 12):  Course Overview and Introductions —  Applying principles to birthing the Ecozoic and the kind of leadership and way of being that will take into a new Era.

Week 2 (Jan. 19)Principle One — Context:  Deeptime Learning and Leadership, with Orla Hazra and Jennifer Morgan.  Leadership starts with a learning context at every stage of life and in all areas of life.  What kind of learning fosters the leadership we need for today.

Week 3 (Jan. 26)Learning Track Pods

Week 4 (Feb. 2):  Principle Two – Matrix; Application to Ecology/Diversity/Anti Bias, with Barbara Holmes/Yona Frenchhawk/Resmaa Menakem/Britt Hawthorne

Week 5 (Feb. 9):  Learning Track Pods

Week 6 (Feb 23):  Principle Three — Interiority; Application to Religion/spirituality/Therapy/Robin Wall Kimmerer/Duane Elgin/Mental Health/Trauma of separation/Resma Menakem

Week 7 (March 2):   Learning Track Pods

Week 8 (March 9):  Principle Four — Action; Case Study showing leadership in action.  John Leydon or Robert Athickal?

Week 9 (March 16):  Learning Track Pods

Week 10 (March 23):  Final Integration — Celebration of the fruits of our journey together and harvesting inspirations for the future.

 

 

Module 3:  Embodying the Universe

Deeptime Leadership Practicum

(8 weeks)
Section 1: Wednesdays 7:00 – 9:00 PM ET (US): April 6, 2022 – May 25, 2022
Section 2: Fridays 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM ET (US): April 8, 2022 – May 27, 2022

Week 1 (April 6):  Course Overview and Introductions —  Discernment re research and project.  Where do you see transformation happening and a call for leadership?  Where do you feel called to make a contribution?  This first session will be dedicated to discernment re a research area/project.

Week 2 (April 13)Adaptive Leadership with Matt Cobb

Week 3 (April 20)Peer Pods

Week 4 (April 27):  Emergent Dialogue, with Marianne Rowe.  Deeptime leadership tunes into a larger field of creativity, such that each person speaks from that larger field.  Deeptime Leadership demands a new understanding of what the universe is, how we align with it, and how we communicate with each other.

Week 5 (May 4):  Peer Pods

Week 6 (May 11):  Leading for the Deep Future, with Yona Frenchhawk.  Yona will show us an indigenous understanding of leadership and way of being that is deeply in tune with the deep past, deep future and deep present.   XXX
