The Upheavals of our time – ecological collapse, climate disruption, and the fracturing of human community – reveal a deeper truth: we are living through a spiritual crisis of belonging. For generations, humanity has imagined itself separate from Nature, extracting from the Earth without limit, a separation often reinforced by our institutions, including the church. Yet a new spiritual horizon is dawning. Ecological Spirituality invites us to remember what ancient peoples knew: we live within a holy, living universe, alive with intelligence, beauty, and relationship. As we attune to nature’s rhythms, a shift in consciousness occurs. We remember ourselves as Earthlings – kin to water, wind, stone, and star – and from this remembering arises a spiritual maturity equal to the challenges of our age. Together, through shared presence, dialogue, and a private labyrinth walk in Chartres Cathedral, we will listen for spirit’s subtle movements and seek pathways – ancient and emerging – toward renewed communion with creation.
