Sitting at the piano one day, I closed my eyes and thought of some of my courageous eco-heroes—Rachel Carson, Chief Seattle, St. Francis, Wangari Maathai, and Thomas Berry. I silently asked them what counsel they would offer us today for Planet Earth.
They all answered: “Pay Attention! Pay attention to what we are doing to Earth in our everyday acts and the effects it is having on all living things and living systems here.
” PS: St. Francis even urged me to write it Doo-Wop style with female backup singers! 🎶 Voila!
