The Deeptime Network held a premier showing of the video THE COSMIC SIGNAL: Celebrating the Moment We First Heard the Echo of the Big Bang. The video covers the in-person gathering, on April 20, 2024, at the Horn Antenna in Holmdel, New Jersey, that celebrated the 60 year anniversary celebration of the discovery of the Cosmic Microwave Background Radiation (CMBR). There were 566 registrants for premier showing and we were deeply honored to have Nobel Laureate Robert Wilson in the meeting with us.
THE COSMIC SIGNAL video has been loaded onto Youtube and is embedded to the right.
In the video you’ll hear about the significance and drama around the discovery of proof that the universe actually began in an exploding fireball, giving us THE NEW STORY of an evolving universe.
What you’ll see and learn:
- How this discovery in 1964 provided proof of the Big Bang
- How the extraordinary, non-digital, Horn Antenna was able to detect a cosmic signal
- How two engineers accidentally stumbled into the discovery of the century,
- How Princeton scientists were able to interpret the discovery
- How much fun we had during our first in-person Deeptime event
New 9-minute video produced by the Deeptime Network! Enjoy!
