Jennifer:

Much thanks for the Holmdel rundown, and your efforts in making that event possible, especially for those of us who could only be there via your fine column. The pics and summary were very reflective of what must have been an informative and spirited celebration of a landmark event. Perhaps the Deeptime Cafe format will continue that sense of connecting and cohesion. In doing community, being together in communion is a whole lot richer than being apart. And if the Cafe idea too is a brainchild of your making, thanks again for that as well.

Indeed, we ARE the story and the fireball evolving, and in truly omnicentric ways, not only outermost, by being universally jacketed or swaddled by its energy from without (by sound and light), but innermost (as God-identity), a radical belonging of an unprecedented kind. Recall, CMBR is radiation, a segment of the electromagnetic spectrum of light released in the Big Bang fireball of creation, and still evolving. Meaning, we are not only individual “sparks” comprising a universal sea/matrix of electrized stardust and light that envelops all things, but we live in an age where there is ample scientific evidence able to confirm same. And in harmonizing spiritual notions of oneness (unitive consciousness) taught in holy books worldwide, with an organic understanding of how Spirit embeds in matter along quantum lines (entanglement). As every part of fire is fire, we now know that universal electrized ocean is also immersed IN every spark, in its totality, innermost and outermost.

Jesus said: I have cast a fire upon the world, and see, I watch over it until it is ablaze (Thomas Gospel, 16)

Such is the so-called third nature of Christ, that which scientifically complements the juridical, redemptive, and moral aspects of the gospel message. As for the innermost, it’s not only the deepest, “juiciest” part of our being, the one most created in the divine image (imago dei), but it’s the last synthesis frontier in experiencing and telling the New Universe Story. And it invokes the primary guiding principles in our synthesis journey and discoveries, “as above, so below, on earth as it is in heaven, outermost and innermost.”  That is, Spirit is the highest, and most rarified field of radiating/oscillating energy (light) in the universe from which springs all created things. Everything is connected to it, as brain to every neuron in the body. Think of it, Jen, perhaps another aspect in the Big Story for you to tell our children, and in your inimical way that makes the child in us all listen up. We’re all children of this light, after all, sitting at the feet of the Master teacher awaiting our daily bread.

The “Let there be light” (Gen. 1:3) moment of creation had it covered, Jen, inside and outside. For in reality there is no separate inside and outside of things, inner and outer dynamics being one and the same energy perceived as separate by dualistic thinking. In unitive consciousness (spiritual awareness), everything is one and undivided. Children know innately, as do mystics and indigenous folk. Dissolve the separation consciousness, and all that remains are undivided souls with unitive consciousness (eyes to see) — Kingdom come, Paradise regained. Such is a relentless homing call on the journey, Jen, a never quite remembered but not totally forgotten yearning to return to origins where all things are one again; and circuitously, as salmon  end their life cycles, returning to their stream beds of origin after years being out a sea.

Remove the dross from the silver, and the silversmith can make a fine vessel. In this instance, the dross is separation consciousness, concealing the deeper (higher) awareness that we are the very fiber, fabric, and energy (fireball) of divinity, God seamlessly co-present and co-creating in us the final chapter(s) of the Big Story. Separation consciousness (the dross) is an overlay on unitive consciousness (the silver) awaiting discovery. Duality (dualistic thinking) is not any more a part of our silver (deeper identity) than dirt is a part of water in a pail. Like dirt, separation consciousness can be removed, filtered out, purified. Try as it might to contaminate or merge with water, dirt can never become the water. Likewise, oneness can’t be divided, eclipsed or clouded, save in an illusory way by a mind whose level of consciousness is fettered with divided perceptions, yet to be made whole.

Hope someone in the group might have underscored and explained a version of same at Holmdel. Outer AND inner space, Spirit AND matter, Spirt AND soul, science AND Spirit are already one in reality, awaiting a Spirit-Science synthesis. No? This is what we adults at DTN are looking for, and the evidence for same is abundant on many counts.

Recall, in the Judeo-Christian tradition the word for Christ, Immanuel, is typically rendered as “God with us,” though its more accurate translation is “God in us,” and by the same energy “in whom all things consist and hold together” (Col. 1:17). Children of light, light beings in our unique bio-electrographic forms, each one. Such is the only basis on which our equality, and the sacredness of all things can be universally defined, explaining how divinity embeds/incarnates in ALL things as the highest part of matter.

He is all and in all (Col. 3:11), and he fills all things (Eph. 1:23). Note, not SOME things, but ALL things in their cosmic totality (pan-christic). And he fills them with himself, making the essence of himself one in ourselves — light. After all, he did self-identify as “The Light of the World,” and according to John, the true light that lights everyone that comes into the world (John 1:9). Says here, such is the realization of Teilhard’s vision, and by extension his disciple in Spirit, the late Thomas Berry. Penzias and Wilson heard it at Bell Labs in Holmden 60 years ago, and all of creation bears witness to its many divine images (imago dei). Now we can hear it’s radiant light energy crackling in outer space (CMBR), as well as feel its illumination(s), love, and creativity activated in our hearts via his burning Spirit in inner space.

CMBR is but one piece of ample scientific evidence of that, and you made it possible for a group of us to hear it firsthand. In more ways than one, we and all things are one embedded IN the Creator, but the Creator is also embedded (incarnated) in us, regardless of religious persuasion, even if we have no religion at all. And that, not by choice. Christ is another name for everything. Only one Big Story is needed, one cosmology, not two, only a single cosmotheology joined by two universal elements —  sound and light waves vibrating at different frequencies, visible and invisible, audible and inaudible. It is all coming together, Jennifer, and you’re helping to make that all possible, so that .  .  .

in the dispensation of the fullness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in him” (KJV, Eph. 1:10).

That is, if one believes these words, and the question that Jesus answered about all things becoming one in him approaching the Parousia, as above, so below “on earth as it is in heaven,” found in the Gospel of Thomas. Here is the whole quote recorded by Thomas, most of which deals with acquiring the oneness and unity of all things via the means of light in awareness, “the eyes to see and ears to hear” sayings of Jesus, which the CMBR discovery brings us closer to. Such is the purpose of science, said Einstein “to bring us closer to the religious feeling” (re: meaning, oneness, and unity.)

I am the light that is above them all. The all came forth from me and attained to me (saying 77).

Jesus said to them, “When you make the two one, and when you make the inside like the outside and the outside like the inside, and the above like the below, and when you make the male and the female one and the same, so that the male not be male nor the female, female; and when you fashion eyes in the place of an eye, and a hand in place of a hand, and a foot in place of a foot, and a likeness in place of a likeness; then will you enter the kingdom.” (Saying 22)

For more details on same, you and readers might want to review the comprehensive blog column on Penzias and Wilson, “The Sound of Light,” posted under my name just preceding the celebratory trip to Holmdel. Meant to be an introduction to same, it ties all things together universally. I believe those with eyes to see will eventually look at the CMBR discovery, and other data along those lines –- ocean and drop, drop and ocean, inner and outer, upper and lower, heaven and earth, science and religion being seamlessly one, and of the SAME energy. Spirit and matter exist everywhere in a fine weave, just like Jesus’ finely woven herringbone garment the Roman soldiers cast lots for — seamless. Properly perceived there is only oneness, as two-ness is an illusion, the property of an unawakened mind, a cutting instrument bent on separating and dividing when disconnected from Spirit.

There is no such thing as matter, everything is slowed down sound and light waves (Albert Einstein)

Written before the four canonical gospels, that of Thomas offers a realm of heaven that we can discover within and all around us before death in unitive consciousness (vs separation consciousness or dualistic thinking). Radical oneness is already here, awaiting recognition, as stated in the Upanishads, Buddhism, and other religions, and with Jung in his works with alchemy. Indeed, we are the fireball meant to be conscious of itself. God continues to speak all things into existence via sound and light. If that was discontinued, all things would ease to exist, the universal “plug” (energy) would be pulled, and all would collapse in a heap like so many waving, wacky inflatable tube men or Santa Claus figures when the air machine is turned off. One must make two parts of every division into one true whole, for each defines the other. And each division, spirit and matter, spirit and soul, heaven and earth, humanity and divinity, is the sleeping but active part of the other, which when integrated becomes the whole – like male and female, darkness and light, life and death, science and spirituality — and all polarities. As on a globe, all meridians of knowledge meet at the poles, and the polestar is Christ. When one integrates these opposites INTERIORLY (in consciousness) s/he become whole, can see in wholes, can become the fire, and experience firsthand the arrival of the Kingdom of Heaven on earth in their time.

Are you ready to set everything ablaze, Jen? With restless anticipation, fellow fireball Teilhard looked forward to this day, and this time, Jen, our time.

Truth has to appear only once, in a single mind, for it to be impossible for anything ever to prevent it from spreading universally and setting everything ablaze (Teilhard de Chardin).

Ditto Thomas Berry, who exhorted his disciples to “Tell the Story.”

What triggered the saying recorded by the disciple Thomas was the occasion of Jesus seeing an infant suckled by its mother, and that precipitated his oft repeated remarks that infants and children are much closer to kingdom enlightenment than adults. As you know, Jen, children do not use words, nor do they divide the world into parts. They don’t know themselves to exist as a separate “me,” using the body as a point of reference, so the world does not exist as a separate “not me.” For children, all is One and undifferentiated. Words come later, convenient tools that describe reality, mere abstractions that can insulate from experiencing creation as a single whole. Jesus implies we must start from scratch where we first left off in secondary process thinking, getting back to childlike wonder and seeing in wholes, and whole-parts, a largely right-brain phenomena that becomes selected out in traditional child rearing and education. Then again, well versed in child development, you know that only too well.

Eluding scientific definition, it may be that consciousness itself is that light, a spirit-soul of light incarnated in folk awaiting elevation to higher vibrational frequencies, that they might see and hear as the enlightened of all ages have. The within and the without are not separate, but one, like two sides of a coin, or the inside and outside of a glove, embedded there like leaven in bread (Matt 13;33). After all, The Light of the World”  declared as much.

Just as there is only one main power line coming into your home running many appliances (apps), right down to your low voltage doorbell, there is only one power (light) in the universe Jen, with many apps –manifesting in physical, mental, and spiritual forms; just as fossil fuels can manifest as coal, oil, and gas, or the Godhead as three persons in one. Like CMBR, a slice of the whole spectrum of light seen as separate and  in isolation by human perception, folk see all created things, animal, mineral and vegetable as separate. Like viewing them and all things through a soda straw. And because they do not recognize light’s source within themselves, they do not see it everywhere manifesting as all things. One can become light-blind, as easy as they become snow-blind, or nose-blind to an odor when acclimated to same.

Said Jesus, the kingdom of heaven is spread upon the face of the earth, and men do not see it. But many women and children do. Neither counted for much in Jesus’ day, save in the heart and eyes of Christ). Divinity is always found where least expected, which is why I chose the pic of you with children above.

Just saying, so an awareness of the innermost part of radiation doesn’t slide by as an integral part of the CMBR discovery. Light plays out as radiation in outer space (space-time) via of the sun and galaxy, as well as interiorly in the new Universe Story; the hidden part, kept secret from the foundation of the world.

Behold, thou desire truth in the inward part: and in the hidden part thou shalt make me to know wisdom (KJV, Psalm 5:6).

Innermost or outermost, the divine has us covered coming and going. (For more details on same, you and readers can review the April DTN blog column on Penzias and Wilson, meant as a prelude to the Holmdel celebration, and a full-orbed view of the Big Story.)

Lest I forget, in Thomas’s long prayer before his martyrdom, he recited his efforts to carry out Christ’s challenge and mission, by saying: The inside I have made outside, and the outside inside, and thy whole fullness has been fulfilled in me. In the end, how many of us will be able to do or say the same?

And lest we forget, D-Day wasn’t the only place folk died in great numbers for a sacred cause, that we might have religious freedom, and a solid spiritual foundation upon which to build the greatest story never told.

Subtly embedded in things commonplace, it is the nature of divinity to make itself hidden, of no reputation, like a person in hiding who clears his throat. As in creation itself, and all creativity, a literally perfect style should conceal itself so completely behind what it expresses that it goes unnoticed. Thanks again for providing a story for those of us who couldn’t be there, as well as the many other things you make happen at DTN that may go unnoticed, or unreported.
