Walking the Amazon rainforest soundscape in Times Square as if you were there!
I am very proud to announce the launch of the Jungle-ized project as Art director ( gpsmuseum.eu ) of the app for the Soundwalk collective and in collaboration with motive.io. It is an interactive sonic visual art installation in Times Square celebrating Earth Month, April 1-30, 2016 in collaboration with a Voice for Nature. Featuring Amazon Rainforest Sound Environments Recorded by Francisco López. It is a great achievement and a big step in the creation of 3D locative soundscapes thanks to the enormous talent of the motive.io team.

    • Hi Fred, So sorry for not writing sooner. I was unclear . . . is this actually an installation in Times Square? What the address and other information? Would love to go but I didn’t see it on the website.

      • Hello Jennifer, yes it is a projection on the big screens and a sound walk at the same time during April. The soundscape is available for ios and android. When at Times Square place, there is a kiosk where you can get a very high quality headset for the walk. Here is the FB page where you can see some images: https://www.facebook.com/jungleized/
We created a way to position the sounds in 3D and people can navigate the sounds at the point that it is possible to create a navigation without looking at the screen just by locating sounds and follow a bird for example.
