Montessori Cosmic Education

and the Work of Thomas Berry and Brian Swimme

Thomas Berry was somewhat amazed when he discovered the work of Maria Montessori, particularly her views on cosmic education. He is said to have called his colleague, mathematical cosmologist Brian Swimme, on the phone with great enthusiasm when he first discovered her work. Montessori’s vision bears a striking resemblance to Thomas Berry’s vision, particularly to his book The Universe Story, written in collaboration with Brian Swimme.
