A sabbatical is a time to come apart and reflect on one’s life journey and on the big existential questions:
Who am I?
Where did I come from?
What is my destiny?
Every culture has an origin story – what they tell the children. Now with the insights of modern science and technology we have a new origin story, one that is universally applicable. We now know that our universe had a beginning some fourteen billion years ago and that it has been evolving ever since and indeed that it continues to evolve. What scientists have not been able to fathom is how the universe came to be in the first place. In other words they have come face to face with mystery. This new cosmology and the questions it raises will form the basis of this course. At hand will be experts in many fields of study to walk with you as you engage in questioning and learning.
Please join us from 3rd Sept to 10th Nov 2017 to explore these questions and together we will seek meaningful answers from the personal to the universal.
Venue: The course is residential and is delivered at An Tairseach Ecology Centre, Wicklow Town.
Accommodation: All rooms within An Tairseach are currently full. We have one room available in Rosanna Farm approximately 6kms from the Centre (http://ashfordselfcatering.com/). There will be a community of six participants within this accommodation off site and daily transport will be provided to and from the Centre.
Cost: €4200 – this includes accommodation and utilities and a delicious main meal prepared with organic produce from An Tairseach’s Farm and served at lunch time each week day.
We also have a sabbatical course running from 4th March 2018 to 11th May 2018
– some residential places are still available but are booking up fast. If you are thinking of applying, please do so now to avoid disappointment.
