Cosmogenesis: A Spirit-Science Layer Cake, American Style

While none of the four trailblazers involved in the following story are American born, all ended up residing and working here. Three of them died here, one still lives and works as an American citizen. They, like so many, brought their ideas and dreams to this melting pot of promise and freedom, known for its soaring scientific, medical, and innovative achievements. It was here posthumously, and only here, that Teilhard’s ideas could be published without censorship. Three of these innovators were contemporaries, including Teilhard. Ironically, all three lived, worked, and died in the U.S. without having met. They are introduced here because their combined contributions tell a new story of global import in a world yearning for unity, and ripe for change. And that, in a land whose ethnic and religious complexion profiles the world in both its diversity and fomenting tensions, yet whose constitutional mandate “to form a more perfect union” remains a work in progress.
Following his third exile in 1954, Teilhard’s spirit-science union dream and challenge were exported to our shores. Being a theologian-scientist, his vision of a “more perfect union” was more ambitious, that of a deeper, more gobal kind. Of late, this nation’s ideal has become a dimming lamp to its own people, a lamp once deemed a beacon of light to a darkened and fragmented world. Perhaps an American story satisfying Teilhard’s cosmic vision might jar the memory of a woefully divided nation to reclaim its lost soul, whose fervent spirit once energized a noble adventure to become “one nation under God, indivisible.” There is no evidence that Teilhard ever became a U.S. citizen. Yet in spirit he is one of us, and of all those who have tasted the Source of unity at its fountainhead, one whose essence transcends all national and religious boundaries in the greatest, most perfect of unions.
Baking a spirit-science synthesis cake, a.k.a unified spirit-science field theory, would solve the elusive holy grail of physics mystery, and unite the entire cosmos with God joined by a common universal element. Satisfying diverse pallets, this layered delectable would reveal a new universe story, explaining the catalyst (light), energy (heat), and transformational dynamics (dual monad friction) that reconcile all apparent contraries in a future-looking paradigm of energy, consciousness, and information. Foremost, it would clarify how radial and tangential energy, quantum and classical physics co-create and co-mingle in one mix. And along evolutionary lines (deep time), it would transcend all ethnic, cultural, and social differences, be trans-disciplinary and trans-religious in scope, and include the arts. In consummate form this mythical paradigm would be foremost an experience, one having no institutional form and few words. As a rising tide raises all boats, so ascending cosmic consciousness knows no institutional religion, temple, or creed. Such a development would accelerate making separation consciousness (dualistic thinking) vestigial, obsolete, and eventually extinct.
Teilhard’s Christ is cosmic in scope, not confined to the historical Jesus, nor to Christian dogma, but to the Cosmic Logos (Word), through whom all things were made (John 1:3), the universal center and convergent point of all evolution, (a) operative from the Big Bang event forward, an evolutionary movement drawing humanity toward divination, unity, and love as the creative, renewing, and binding energy of the cosmos, and (b) active in all human striving toward truth, goodness, and wholeness, irrespective of tradition, while (c) truly “catholic” (universal), not denominational or sectarian; in Teilhard’s own words, “the name we Christians use for the divine focus of cosmic evolution.”
Thus, for Teilhard Christogenesis is not the triumph of Christianity, but the fulfillment of creation’s spiritual potential, which institutional Christianity symbolizes and names in its own language which other religions and cosmologies call by different names and growth stages.
A layered cake consists of multiple baked cake sheets stacked on top of each other with a creamy mixture (filling) between each layer. Looking at Teilhard’s cosmogenic model as a six-layered cake, the third and most recent layer (noosphere) is on the threshold of adding its next evolutionary breakthrough in consciousness beyond the self-reflective mind. Teilhard called this stage Christogenesis, after the namesake that inspired him, later realized as the radiating center of love and energy at the heart of matter that he expanded to encompass all of creation. This cosmic Center of centers defines (and here explains) the pan-psychic physical, mental, and spiritual power that draws and holds all things to itself and each other in cosmic unity. A more democratized name for this stage is divinization or spiritualization, what happens to consciousness as it advances in individual and collective evolution. Christogenesis is the entry level layer of spirituality (awareness) that ripens into the kind of unitive perception and thought (unitive consciousness) that makes understanding the integrities of the whole and solving its mysteries not only possible, but imperative in our times.
In cosmogenesis the initial three stages are fundamental in making the complexity consciousness of the latter three possible. After spiritual awareness stirs in late-stage Noogenesis, it begins to intensify the convergence and centration of its energy in humans toward its Omega stage. Ever heard of the Marx Bros vaudeville comedy act? It features brothers Chico, Harpo, Zeppo, Groucho, etc. Introducing the Genesis Bros creation-evolution act (Cosmo, Geo, Bio, Noo, Christo, and Omega), whose six-act revue has been creation’s longest running performance, some 14 billion years. Act 4 (Noo) has been underway awhile, and is on the verge being upstaged by an Act 5 (Christo) troupe.
The universe as “oven” (womb) in cosmogenesis is crucial. It was heat that created atoms and molecules that later complexified into higher life forms. In Noogenesis light begins to take the reins as consciousness and information converge more centrally in the interior life. This marks the development of a planetary layer of collective thought, intelligence, and consciousness that rises and encompasses Earth’s biosphere, and beyond.
This spiritual awakening in the interior life results in the awareness that radial energy not only divinizes (spiritualizes) spirit, soul (psyche), and mind by linking them as a unit, spirit–soul, but reveals itself as the connecting “glue” (creamy mixture) within and without, divinizing all six layers of the synthesis cake into a seamless whole, joined by the common cosmic elements of heat (love) and light (illumination) dual monads expressed both materially and symbolically. Dual monads? Think paradox in cosmogenesis, as the divine arises always from dynamic polarities, a living reationship between opposites that creates friction kindling the fire of awareness. This crucial stage is the beginning of light (mind and matter) returning to itself in Omega as pure Spirit via transfiguration, the last stop on a long ascension train which completes a sacred cycle — light/heat (Alpha/Spirit) as a dual monad on a circuitous journey to (Omega/Spirit), “first and last, beginning and end” just as the Logos proclaimed as written in the ancient scrolls. As such, divination initiates what eventually results in the final unification of consciousness and the cosmos in Omega, the universe becoming aware of itself, observer and observed returning consciously to itself as Source once over in formless fashion. And via the same transfiguration process the apostles witnessed the Cossmic Christ undergo on the Mt. of Transfiguration. For every created thing initially has form, even thought, though said form may not be visible to the human sense. The higher one rises in spiritual realization, the more things are seen in their spiritual essence, not so much in material form. And the more acclimated to spiritual reality consciousness becomes, the greater an appreciation for how outer reality reflects the hidden inner laws and nature of things, including their correspondence. And as one becomes increasingly aware that the “inner” and “outer” of things are two facets of a single whole (dual monads) that mirror each other, the clearer it becomes that radial energy is eternity expressing in the field of time as tangential energy; or stated in science-math terms, quantum physics (invisible) expressed in terms of classic physics (visible), just as y can be expressed in terms of x in an algebraic equation.
You can’t bake a cake or create a universe without heat as catalyst. Heat makes differentiation among the evolutionary layers (stages) possible, an unfolding progression from a Singularity —> Heat -> Light —> Plasma —> Matter —> Consciousness in the Alpha to Omega sequence of the creation-evolutionary recipe. While heat is the catalyst that makes differentiation possible, light is the medium that makes creation intelligible. Together they are the energetic and inspirational aspects of the same primal event, the fire and the Word, physics’ and theology’s twin faces of Genesis/Big Bang cosmology. Heat is the vibrational fire of the primal Logos, the kinetic stirring that awakens potential into activity. Light is the revelatory consciousness/awareness emerging from that energy, the self-manifestation of Being, and carrier of intelligence, information, spiritual identity, and inspiration.
Unraveling the complexities of most compound things is easier said that done. But ironically, solving the cosmic unified mystery of mysteries in the penultimate cosmogenic stage is made easier via unitive consciousness, the ability to see in wholes. This stage reveals the cosmic singularity (dual monad catalyst) doubling as heat and light, mind and matter. Such introduces the incarnate Head Chef and his cohort of similarly inspired assistants required to whip up this mythic dessert. That mystery “ingredient” is the same catalyst (energy) that initiated the Big Bang event, impels evolution, propels the paschal mystery, energizes psychosocial and cognitive development, and inspires spiritual awakening (illumination) in Christogenesis. Same energy, different form. And its “creamy mixture” within and between evolutionary layers occurs in the liminal space between two worlds, where “right here” and “over there” obliterate, opening up awareness to the sacred and deeptime — past, present, and future all at once. That’s where ancestors and those who have gone before work through us to complete the whole and tell the new story. Thomas Berry leads the group. Only in the individual light of liminality does the universal light become aware of itself, not only as mind reflecting on itself, but as Spirit reflecting on itself as body, mind, seer and seen manifesting as all things. For in creation there is only one thing, and in substance everything is it.
Being universal, this qualitative illuminating ingredient (qualia/essence) is all-purpose, ubiquitous, indivisible, and tied to consciousness (pan-psychic), because it is consciousness embodied. Its also plastic (malleable), able to seamlessly shape-shift into many visible forms (quanta), and transmit information. And as fundamental, no mathematical equation is needed to identify or explain it because math, like all created things, is also emergent. Math is the rabbit hole Einstein burrowed himself into trying to solve the unified mystery, and for 30 frustrating years became a dead-end trying to do synthesis. Recall Teilhard’s sacred discovery and disclosure dictum: “spirituality is foremost about seeing.” None are so blind as those who cannot or will not see. In the absence of spiritual light, there can be no spiritual sight. With no spiritual sight, there can be no divinization (spiritualization) process or iterations of same, and no spirit-science vision, synthesis, or Omega.
In the 17th – 20th centuries science (the religion of Scientism) had been totally obsessed with leaving God out of the synthesis equation with willful intent, no matter how absurd. Today’s trail-blazers on an earnest spirit-science mission no longer need fear, worry, or apologize for not joining this half-baked, member’s-only club. Let all scientistic-materialist thinkers mired in noogenesis (intellect) please listen up before going further; please leave your materialist ego’s at the door, reach higher in consciousness or remain forever arrested in the material/mental stage of development. In this sacred quest, one needs to be equipped with his sacred American Express card (unitive consciousness). Don’t leave home without it. John Ruskin said it best,
Thousands can talk for one who can think, but hundreds can think for one who can see. Seeing clearly is prophecy, poetry, and religion all in one.
Einstein has his place in this novel cake-baking paradigm, but only by understanding the mathematical frosting of its tangential (quantifiable) dimension, further explained below and in the author’s preceding blog entries. He accurately intuited a single field uniting gravity (geometry) and electromagnetism (energy), but his tools remained dualistic (left brained), treating them as distinct entities to be unifieds by math, as opposed to being inseparably One as mystics have declared for millennia. Hence, fixated on math, he couldn’t explain how. Only prophets, poets, and seers can do that, but in Scientism their kind are persona non grata, heretics omitted from the credits of the real story. One cannot separate the dance from the dancer, nor democratize the created order with unhelpful dualisms like science/religion, Catholic/Protestant, Republican/Democrat, or feminist/patriarchal, etc. No, the substance of all visible form is a onefold unity, neither material or mental, the latter of which are only derivative of that invisible “creamy mixture” (essence), as particle is to wave. In that sacred essence neither the body, mind, or universe are as physical or structural as they appear to the senses and defined by empirical data. They operate more like a visible interface or dashboard concealing the energy and circuits under the hood. According to the Cosmic Christ, the “new heaven and new earth” upon which all things rest, center, and have being are purely spiritual. Stating “My kingdom is not on this world,” the incarnate Logos (Cosmic Christ) references the hidden story within the story of individual and collective history, kairos time hidden in chronos time like leaven in bread, making its appearance in mystical consciousness and periodic theophanies throughout history.
God incarnating in creation is actually light/heat energy condensing into material form via a trans–medium hybrid state called plasma. Following the Hot Big Bang Creation event, 98% of the universe consisted of ionized plasma which upon cooling gave rise to the atoms and molecules that formed, bound, and synchronized matter at all scales; according to Genesis, material constituents of the human frame. Light is pure being in its essence (radial energy), bound by neither time, matter, or decay. And also according to Genesis, light is the eternal component of the human frame fashioned after its Maker, the substance of its form, image, and likeness. The latter (tangential energy) comprises the temporal constituents of matter, form, and the material frame as its invisible architecture or skeleton. All biological and spiritual life depends on light’s immutable and eternal nature and energy, diffused and distributed in varying vibrational frequencies throughout the created order at all scales accordingly, innermost and outermost. Is it any wonder the Logos referred to himself as the Light of the World?
So, in spite of his natural intuitive capacities, reconciling apparent opposites gave Einstein fits because his “genius” was intolerant of contraries (dual aspect monads), insistent on joining them with equations, as opposed to invisible “creamy mixtures.” As a result, he was unable to integrate classical and quantum physics, integral left/right brain functions that when properly utilized in Christogenesis (unitive consciousness), allow the spiritually inspired right brain to take the lead in unifying and interpreting mystery to the left brain and mind. Einstein was extraordinarily intuitive. But natural intuition is not the same as spiritual intuition, insight, and discernment. Only the latter can sift the whole picture of creation with a finer, deeper, more comprehensive net.
Continuing, if both gravity and energy emerge as dual monads (paired push-pull opposites) from a deeper conscious-energy-information substrate, then no purely mathematical abstractions could unify them, because being emergent (effects) math describes structure not essence. Hence, it is ontologically lawful that quanta (matter) follow qualia (spirit) in the created order as heel follows toe, just as Scripture and the Cosmic Christ reveal. In telling the new universe story, best not mistake the scaffolding (tangential “without” of things) for the substantive building (radial “within” of things) around which the former merely presents as window dressing. Together, radial and tangential, classical and quantum physics, the within and without of things comprise the entire unified field. The empirical sciences have their place in this novel paradigm, alright, playing second fiddle, being deposed by differentiating what is qualitatively causal and lasting from what is quantifiably measurable and passing. You’d have more success trapping smoke in a net than capturing mystery with numbers. When it comes to wholeness and inclusivity, half-blind empirical scientists must come of visual age if they are to define and differentiate what is essential on this quest. With heart and head disengaged, or reversed in order like cart before horse, they’d be foolish to try. Cosmic Christ consciousness goes away when approached by the empirial intellect alone.
There IS a way to unify gravity and energy, as mind and matter indeed share a single Source. That’s because at root the unified field is qualitative (ontological) in nature, not quantitative (mathematical). They do snugly merge like the inside and outside of a glove. We’ve named one set of dual monad stars in this evolutionary bake-off, light/heat, the seamless twin ingredients necessary to bake this synthesis cake because it touches the heart of a long-awaited nexus between energy, matter, mind, information, and spirit in the modern era. No other common element comes close as qualifier, hands down. Light is not just one phenomenon among many, its the interface between energy and matter, information and manifestation, time and eternity, nature and the divine. Not surprising that both science and religion converge on it as a first cause and primal reality. This dual monad singularity, like divinity itself, is inveterately independent, the one “element” (unum necessarium) that refuses to stay confined to either domain because it operates invisibly as their shared nexus, taking the lesser place in the created order after nouns and verbs. Nothing can see or be seen without it, a lowly preposition that meekly values connectivity and relationship (light = illumination, heat = love) among all the other parts, especially the marginal ones. As “connector words” prepositions are usually found outside the limelight, after sacrificing pride of place to all nouns, pronouns, adjectives and adverbs in grammar, and in the books of Scripture, nature, and the cosmos. Like divinity, this singularity highlights everything but itself. A literally perfect style in any endeavor conceals itself so completely in what it expresses, that it goes unnoticed. Divinity is always found where least expected, so look for it there.
God is light, period, as are spirit and matter, substance and form comprising the inseparable ingredient(s) of the entire layer cake in science and religion, as well as the philosophical traditions. God is also love, the creamy filler or synaptic glue (cosmic neurotransmitter) that holds and enfolds all things together within its omnipresent bosom at all scales. God = light. God = love. Things equal to the same thing, like qualia/quanta, are equal to each other; therefore Light = love. Energy manifesting in different forms, light comprises both the “within” and “without” of things, like the two sides of a coin, connecting inner and outer worlds. One light refracted into diversity — many in One, a seamless onefold unity.
The association of light with creation, divinity, wisdom, and origins is a widespread archetype across many global traditions. In Teilhard’s wisdom tradition light is revealed as the first created thing. Earth and all things in it were “without form and void” prior to its grand entrance on the stage of Creation. CMBR (cosmic microwave background radiation) is the living fossil of same whose static, telltale sound is still crackling throughout the universe without surcease after 14 billion years — like math, another effect not to get giddy over. Everything is slowed down light and sound waves from the original Big Bang moment of creation. Whether in ancient mystical systems, Platonic philosophy, Abrahamic faiths, or modern physics, light repeatedly emerges as the primal principle — both causal and revelatory, staying continuous across religion, philosophy, and science. The star of the show in all cosmic dramas at all scales, its the syntheis constant we’re looking for that appears as matter, the co-inherent transformable substance of all visible form, doubling as the invisible catalyst under the hood driving evolution (science’s name for the paschal mystery.)
Nuancing, light transforms the biogenic to the noogenic stage in Teilhard’s cosmogenic model, before metamorphosing into its christogenic stage. Continuing its upward trajectory light further refines itself in convergence and centration, fully transfiguring to its Omega stage, light and gravity working in push-pull tandem toward final unification of consciousness and the cosmos. Such is the divine radiance (energy) and attractor (gravity) counterbalancing their way to fulfillment in oneness like as paired-opposites. Everywhere light shape-shifts (transforms) on its evolving journey from formless to form, back to formless again, Alpha to Omega and back in a rhythmic circuitry.
Without light there can be no seasons, no darkness within in which to incubate life and emerging stages, no spirit-science synthesis, no new universe story, no incarnation or christogenesis, no spiritualization of consciousness, no hypostatic union fixing spirit to matter, no vacuum state or zero point energy on which to draw, no deliverance from rough-cut human creature-hood, no paired opposites counter-rotating to create, renew, and give balance to all things at all scales, and no understanding of creation as seamlessly pan-psychic (panentheistic) in nature. And finally, no future looking vision that understands information, consciousness, and energy as the currency of the entire universe. Such may be the reason non-human intelligences (NHI) keep humans at arms length in the cosmic community, awaiting the time we evolve from our carbon-body lizard brains and tribal warring into a suitable loving, cooperative, and united species.
In creation and cosmogenesis, light functioned as an ordering field, maintaining equilibrium between energy and emerging matter. In theological language, Light was the Word becoming visible in the medium of space-time. Now, with light as the protagonist, indispensible ingredient, lineal champion, “creamy nexus,” and foundation of the universe, we need only to draw upon those assistant chefs (mortal luminaries) who in their time were on the trail of solving this mystery, directly or indirectly via their owny curiosity and scientific explorations. Call them the Socrates, Plato, Aristotle, and Pythagoras of modern and postmodern times. They, like we, stand on their broad shoulders, as they stood on those who went before them. Honoring the principle of parsimony, we don’t need a kitchen full of them, only a select few that were given one or two key ingredients required for us to understand the “how to” of baking this mythical layered cake. Too many cooks, after all, tend to spoil the tasty outcome (note: the traditional word soup in this culinary idom was intentionally omitted as its implies the improbable, that human complexity emerged from a primoridal puddle of protozoa without vertical causation/radial energy. Vertial causation is the name given to the invisible external force that causes and sustains the evolutionary process, or time-dependent horizontal chain of events. It’s the within of things, the engine under the hood of the material order.
For our purposes, we need only assemble the Head Chef’s All-American “dream team” of five geniuses, below summarizing their individual contributions toward solving the spirit-science synthesis puzzle. Three of them were 20th century contemporaries, all U.S. citizens who fatefully never met. They are, Nikola Tesla, Albert Einstein, and Teilhard de Chardin. Had they collaborated, theoretically we’d be further along on the road to Omega than we are now. The fourth is also an American currently living and working in Silicon Valley California — physicist-inventor Federico Faggin. The more contemporary, least known, and perhaps underrated of the five, Faggin’s work is most significant because he doesn’t merely add to the synthesis model, he grounds it, giving metaphysical legitimacy to what the others only sensed (Tesla), mapped (Einstein) and foresaw (Teilhard). The fifth is the head chef himself, the Power Source of the transcendent-immanent generative energy and information field in the entire Universe. In Teilhard’s wisdom tradition, the Logos (Word) is the Center that holds, inspires, and energizes all subsidiary centers to himself and each other in tensional, push-pull integrity. This one is special, lending both physical and metaphysical legitimacy to what Faggin summarized, the others intuited, and those with eyes to see can now finally realize and embrace in our times. The star of the show is everywhere, the non-local Logos, who like the air we breathe, or the sunshine and rain that befall us, are common property belonging to no one. S/He is the head of all principality and power in the universe, physical, mental, and spiritual, innermost and outermost.
All power has been given unto me in heaven and on earth (Matt. 28:18).
Note: all power, not some power. The Greek word that translates into English as “power” in this wisdom literature verse is exousia, which connotes universal mastery, authority, or force.
As for the unified field operating on one energy dynamic and its transformations, its worth noting the parallel operations between cosmogenic and psychogenic evolution, the crucial meta-nexus between inner (micro) and outer (macro) worlds. Beyond biogenesis, evolution becomes a drama of the interior life, the spiritualization of matter through consciousness, matter becoming transparent to Spirit. Here, the human person becomes the crucible where cosmic energy awakens to its own divinity. In a macro terms, Teilhard saw the arrow of evolution as complexity —> consciousness —> convergence —> centration. In micro terms, psychologically, this is mirrored in instinct —> intellect —> intuition/psyche-spirit. Each new stage interiorizes energy, transforming outer power into inner light (call it christic energy, libido, Tao, the force, elan vital, kundalini, chakras, or life force, etc.). Same energy, different expression and locus, a subject to unpack in another essay.
Continuing, Faggin’s insights elegantly unite the Tesla-Einstein-Teilhard synthesis by grounding it in the primacy of consciousness itself, light = consciousness = Spirit. He provides the ontological foundation the others implied but didn’t fully articulate. In the explanation and diagram below, Faggin belongs in the fourth vertex of the synthesis diagram imaged therein, occupying the very center-point as the Logos’ right-hand man, adding the science counterpart to Christology, as is his charism. That is, like the other impactful players on this “All American/All World” culinary team, Faggin can be seen as the Logos manifest in our time, accelerating synthesis toward Omega, of late solving the elusive mystery of consciousness in these empirically exclusive times (click onto the Resource Tab at top for his brief video clip).
Faggin attributes his insights to a spiritual conversion experience in 1990 when he was 50 years old. During this transcendental-mystical experience he felt a powerful surge of energy in his chest, which he described as a beam of light made of “love, joy, and peace,” making him feel like he was both the world, and the observer of the world. The event profoundly changed his perspective from binary thinking to universal awareness, leading him to question the nature of consciousness and matter, and eventually to dedicate his life studying consciousness, resulting in a recent book, Irreducible.und
Faggin is not alone in his understanding that consciousness is fundamental. Since the early 2000’s, thinkers such as Roger Penrose, Stuart Hameroff, David Chalmers, and Donald Hoffman also argue that consciousness is not emergent from matter but fundamental to reality. Their work represents the modern frontier of panpsychism, quantum consciousness, and information based ontology. Cross-dsiciplinary thinkers in quantum physics, the neurosciences, and philosophers of mind are increasingly converging on a model in which reality is a hierarchy of frequency and consciousness stacked like a layer cake, or an inverted pyramid from quantum fields (lower vibrations) up to divine consciousness.
Along with Faggin, the assistant chefs of this All-American “dream team” bake-off are listed below. Each contributes key ingredients to this evolutionary “cake mix,” divinity appearing as each in their time, listed in order of their birth, kairos embodying chronos over deep time combining grace and human effort toward a purpose. Such describes how the divine and human, grace and self-effort work together in an unfolding paschal mystery drama where light beings/workers having a human experience realize their identity and fulfill their calling over deep time. Its global synergy at work “forming a more perfect union” on Amerian soil, fulfilling Teilhard’s vision in telling a new universe story on origins, aims, and ends.
Again, in this energy drama light moves not in linearity but as alternating current (AC), a to and fro, push-pull (dual modad) progression/regression movement between the poles, from Alpha to Omega and back, as electromagnetism (light) is inclined to do. Together they form a closed circuit — [Spirit —> Energy —> Plasma — Matter —> Mind -> Spirit] — a divine choreography from Alpha to Omega, formless to form and back, the dynamic carousel of creation. Below find a chronological listing of all five evolutionary “chefs” and their contributions in whipping up this layered synthesis cake. Each taking his place among history’s renowned, pedestrian, and all those in-between.
1) The Logos (Cosmic Christ), this archetype appears on the stage of human history as theophanies and cosmic christophanies, including the last stage of the Cosmogenesis creation story. In the closing act s/he appears as androgynous, after manifesting as all gendered characters in between, beginning to end, first to last in this evolving drama. In oneness (unitive consciousness) divinity is seen appearing as everyone and everything everywhere, even the on-stage scenery. Funny thing how oneness works, a utility archetype playing each position as each person in the unified field as on a ball diamond; infield and outfield, including the umpires, fans, and hot dog vendors. Cristos, the meek and lowly star of the show, God incarnate who once came disguised as a male baby, then rabbi, then Head Chef from eternity past, then as all spiritual teachers, the heat and light of creation serially embodied, transformed, and renewed. In one wisdom tradition appearing as male, impressivley dividing history into BC/AD, later humiliated, murdered, and resurrected. Story line? All things were created “by and for him,” so that “in him all things consist and are held together” (Colossians 1:16-17). Logos is the proverbial Cinderella of the new story, Arthur who pulled the fabled sword from the same stone later used to seal his empty tomb. Star of stage and screen, this character also moonlights as THE protagonist in fables, folklore, and the religion of all nations.
2) Nikola Tesla (“The poet of electricity”), Serbian born engineer, discovered that the unified field was not only alive but “electrifying,” whose source was a vibrational foundation of light energy (Spirit —> Energy), or qualia. Said, Tesla, “Everything is the light. If you want to know the secrets of the universe, study energy, frequency, and vibration” — all properties of electromagnetism (light energy). The Logos figure of his time, he was much overlooked, underrated, and misunderstood. Tesla gets the nod for his standalone achievement in identifying the central ingredient (light energy) in baking the synthesis cake. When asked what it was like to be the smartest man alive, Einstein answered, “I don’t know, you’ll have to ask Nikola Tesla.” As an innovator, no one was more ridiculed or considered least among the greatest of his time than Tesla.
3) Albert Einstein, (“The Cartographer”), German-born theoretical physicist, best known for developing his theory of relativity. Mapped the unified field (explicate order) as scientifically lawful with precision and “gravity” (gravitas), providing a structural articulation in mathematical terms, (Energy —> Form), or quanta. Boasted he could solve the mystery of special and general relativity via one inch equations, making good on his prediction in each. Looked to do the same unifying classical and quantum physics, but it wasn’t to be. Sorry Albert, there’s no math in the infinite invisible, or in the flow of its varied expressions boiling over into space-time. Math exists only as an aide to discursive thought, and the world of thought and form, slicing and dicing them into discrete space-time data points and derivatives. Past a certain point creating and solving comic equations is a poor tool for accessing the mystery layers, only for understanding their frosting. Wherever you are, Albert, hope you’re loving, laughing, and playing more, as opposed to calculating and pondering things in your head.
4) Teilhard de Chardin (“The Visionary”), French-born, exiled three times for his vision on the evolution of consciousness as purposive (teleological) in his cosmogenic model, energy converging and centrating as matter, then as mind, and later in spiritual form as Christ-Omega. His vision of consciousness unfolds via a Noetic field (Form —> Consciousness –> Formless in Omega). Such is analog to Tesla’s “energy of the cosmos” = Holy Spirit or divine breath animating creation. Credited with differentiating cosmogenic stages as evolutionary (layered) over deep time, converging toward a transfigured species (new phylum) beyond creature-hood toward fulfillment in Omega. Like Merton, may have best served the Head Chef by leaving the suffocating heat and stranglehold of theVatican kitchen, and his Jesuit order. Took Darwin’s theory with a hefty grain of salt. Adhered to an evolutionary cosmogenic model, but never embraced the notion that monkeys and apes in a nearby zoo ever were “their keeper’s brother.”
5) Federico Faggin (“The Grounding Synthesizer”), Italian-born physicist, engineer, inventor, and entrepreneur, masterfully integrates qualia and quanta, radial and tangential energy, quantum and classical physics by seeing consciousness (Spirit) as primary and causal, (the “within of things”), not a byproduct of matter or hoirzontal causation. Proposes matter, energy, and spacetime (“without of things”) emerge from consciousness or Spirit, not the other way around. The within and without of things are the seamless unified field, without binary partition. In this way each quantum event or particle carries an element of awareness — a “unit of experience.” Declares the physical universe is a symbolic outer representation (reflection) of inner conscious laws/dynamics, connecting them by a common element, consciousness = Spirit. Thus, information and form arise from qualia-based-knowing (gnosis) and experience, not intellectual knowledge, the creative acts of consciousness eventually recognizing itself. Even without knowing your name or heritage, Federico, we can tell. Articulating beautifully with your Italian accent is exceeded only by the exquisite motions of your hands. When is a tongue not a tongue? When it’s a hand. We love those voice-hand orchestrations.
6) The Logos, (“The Cosmic Superstar”), without beginning and end, the Alpha and Omega who opens and closes the show as Head Chef in this cake-baking extravaganza. Versatile as producer, director, and actor, ready to take a bow at curtain call in the final act, Omega. As instructed, the audience dons their 4-D sunglasses, because he’s totally transfigured now, as he appeared to Peter, James, and John in a scintillating sneak-preview on Mt. Tabor. This God-man is about to establish a new creation where the present world ends, and a new heaven and new earth totally replace it as revealed in the ancient scrolls. The End of all things is really their beginning, and conversely. And though the circle has thus far gone round-and-round on the way to full ascension, this mystical purgation-illumination-union process will cease from sanctifying the enlightened from the imperfections of their mortality. There will be nothing left to purge or redeem for this new phylum, not the limiting effects of the lizard brain, carnal mind, carbon body, blind eye, lukewarm love, ravenous hunger, endless infirmities, palpable thirst, or aimless dull ache that thrums through every mortal being from womb to tomb.
Einstein mapped the energy continuum mathematically. Tesla intuited frequency as the key to universal structure and resonance. Teilhard envisioned Christogenesis — consciousness evolving through matter toward divinization. Faggin grounds it all in consciousness as primary, fundamental as space and time. And the Logos takes a final bow as being present in them all in this evolving drama — Alpha to Omega, beginning to end in the spectrum of one unified energy-consciousness-information field, unfolding in nesting hierarchies of vibration layered as in a Russian doll.
There you have it, the fulfillment of Teilhard’s six-layer cosmogenic layer cake, American style, a one God/one-human cosmogenic delight served up with diagrams, a new universe story, and a little help from his kitchen-helper friends. Sorry, Martha Stewart, your six-layer chocolate salted-caramel cake has met its match, because Teilhard’s meta-mix “takes the cake” in this cosmic bake-off. The wedding (Omega) reception will commence shortly after a brief intermission. As host and groom, the Logos will supply the Light, venue, and chocolate cake. Guests need bring only their best polished and reflective selves.

And the author? He’s a light being and light worker here to help reveal an untold fragment of a cosmic story, a tiny part of the universe become aware of itself, its origin, and identity in an evolving way.
