Films to advance the cause of Peace, Justice and Sustainability
I recently saw the film “Ocean with David Attenborough” (2025). It made me think we are literally “at war” with ALL life on Earth! (even in the depths of the oceans!) If you haven’t seen this film I highly recommend it:

Hey Group – So in diving back in here, I see that our faithful John has spearheaded topics and that a few of us have responded to them, but it appears the group has lost some steam over the last few weeks.
I’ll try and send out an email in the next few days to see what we want to do. We all have great potential, combining our different fields of…[Read more]

I must admit — reframing the science writer as providing an autocosmology from the universe, like dictating for the cosmos, strikes me as right on! Yet another way we serve in this 14 billion year old creative expression.
Initially I had a wave of cynicism when I first stumbled onto the term autocosmology, like, “really…do we need another invent…[Read more]

Well…I’m back! And thanks for the well wishes David—I cannot believe the journey and lessons I’ve experienced in the last 2 weeks, and Easter rebirth could not be a better metaphor for life at this moment. Happy to share, but I’ve had wonderful support and ready to focus on these dialogues 🙂
Anyway, I’m going to read through all the topics an…[Read more]

Hi Francie, So sorry to hear about your challenges. I hope things are improving now? Unfortunately I’m not very active because my schedule is very full for the next couple of months, but I’m hanging onto the mindset and community developed in this course. (I’m also overwhelmed because my Mum is booked in for cataract surgery next week and I’m n…[Read more]

Dearest group!
I am unexpectedly experience a series of cateclystic events (are they ever expected?) and although I am yearning to dive in here, I cannot commit for yet one more week. Please know that the allurement I am experiencing to share is vast, I’m in a rare semi- crisis mode. All will be fine – nothing life threatening.
Back soon as I can be! -

A friend of a friend here in Asheville has previously taught at IONS.
She offered to “ask my contacts at IONS if they know of availability”.
She also shared:
The book upon which it was based is available from variius sources like this; https://www.abebooks.com/first-edition/Heart-Healing-companion-TBS-series-Poole/77132916/bd

It has only recently seeped into my awareness that writing a scientific paper on PKS 1622-297 was an act of autocosmoloy.
Frankly, when I was working at NASA in the nineteen-nineties, my attention was distracted by a less noble motivation, something often labeled, ‘publish or perish’.
At the time, I was working at NASA Goddard’s Space Flight Ce…[Read more]

After reading Stephan’s post above, I googled to see what IONS might stand for… I guess the Institute of Noetic Sciences (IONS)”?? Here is the website:
Apparently, the Institute conducts research on topics like the “survival of consciousness after bodily death.” That made me think of your idea/project John!
In 1994, TBS…[Read more]

I cannot share enough how deeply I loved what you shared I tonight’s group. I fell down with deep reverence for the love aspect. In the meantime I’m having this hilarious left brain issue while floating in the bliss — can I get your email straight up here? I know it exists somewhere !!

During my life, I’ve also had interesting ideas, only to I find with some research, were not original.
In the nineteen-nineties, while I was working at NASA Goddard’s space flight Center as the Instrument Specialist for the EGRET instrument on the Compton Gama Ray telescope, I thought of using the extant cable-TV infrastructure for high bandwith…[Read more]

Another interesting take on the death exploration is to scientifically evaluate the ways in which we colletively participate in life and the living systems of the planet. For example, the Cosmogenesis in Education subgroup has just posted about the Ceasar’s Last Breath problem:…[Read more]

Hi John,
I’m beaming in response to your research! That’s my nerdy humor there. So are you suggesting that scientific research is essentially representing life examples of cosmic phenomena in an autocosmological way? So as scientists, are we really biographers for different aspects of the universe? Or perhaps we’re autocosmologists on a cosmic…[Read more]

I love what you’re sharing and exploring here Francie, and the question of psyche/cosmos and what’s often termed “mind/matter” interactions are both personally and collectively important, and also very multilevel and multithreaded. I have also had the experience of having what I thought was a “novel” thought only to discover later that others h…[Read more]
