Hey Group – So in diving back in here, I see that our faithful John has spearheaded topics and that a few of us have responded to them, but it appears the group has lost some steam over the last few weeks.
I’ll try and send out an email in the next few days to see what we want to do. We all have great potential, combining our different fields of knowledge, our curiosity and the desire that brought us together. Perhaps proposing a topic that we muse about and then share, whether in person (likely better but tough) at intermittent times, or decide to write about….

I must admit — reframing the science writer as providing an autocosmology from the universe, like dictating for the cosmos, strikes me as right on! Yet another way we serve in this 14 billion year old creative expression.
Initially I had a wave of cynicism when I first stumbled onto the term autocosmology, like, “really…do we need another invented word for some niche writing exercise?” Then reading the few examples that followed snapped me out of my left hemisphere raving judge and landed me closer to my heart, touched by the creativity within the authors’ share.

Well…I’m back! And thanks for the well wishes David—I cannot believe the journey and lessons I’ve experienced in the last 2 weeks, and Easter rebirth could not be a better metaphor for life at this moment. Happy to share, but I’ve had wonderful support and ready to focus on these dialogues 🙂
Anyway, I’m going to read through all the topics and attempt to take stock of where we are – and see if there are threads being pursued as a group, or if I could help tease a few out! Back soon…

Dearest group!
I am unexpectedly experience a series of cateclystic events (are they ever expected?) and although I am yearning to dive in here, I cannot commit for yet one more week. Please know that the allurement I am experiencing to share is vast, I’m in a rare semi- crisis mode. All will be fine – nothing life threatening.

I love this topic, and am tempted to “rush through” my answer since I am late to the game. But I won’t.
The suggestion to look for (scientific) powers within the inner workings of us humans, mirrored by the supposed external wonder of the cosmos is such a great idea.
A few things that come to mind have always inspired me, and then at CIIS in the PhD program I discovered the ‘experts’ that had named what I had come upon as a novel phenomena. It is strange—part validating in an exciting way and part dismay that I wasn’t the original thinker (ego in hand) when something that emerges within my psyche has a home already theoretically. Anyway…
Interfaces between two systems has seemed a powerful and wildly dynamic place in nature. From my original biochemistry/physiology/biology studies– especially regarding photosynthesis and mitochondria interfaces have always seemed to be alive with seething mystery and creativity.
All the dynamics of emerging red blood cells from bone or how about neurotransmitters’ emergence from what was originally a thought or emotion- those dynamics have an interface within meeting systems and are astounding. I have to stop myself from ranting about the miracle of my thinking about “my baby may be hungry” and milk being produced, soaking my shirt. The great Gregory Bateson discusses the “meeting” of two systems as happening at interfaces and also considered them powerful creative and transformational aspects of life.
One more fascinating potential for discussion is the issue of “intention” and the interface between powerful psychological forces such as intention and the ‘manifestation’ of life circumstance change. I mean this in a NOT new age manner. The inquiry becomes…’how does a deeply felt psychological state either set up a manifestation (which it also sometimes specifically does not) and also, how often if a feeling is thoroughly “felt through” in non-dual practices ..how does that sitting with the moment create a total break through!
There is a powerful mystery about how our psyche’s operate within the ‘awake awareness’ of our being. I assume and believe that physics and consciousness has everything to do with this!
