• Our Cosmic Heritage

I suggest that cosmic evolution is a powerful synthesis to use as perspective-a grand ethos of potentially unprecedented intellectual […]

    • Seems that if the future is a measure of man’s wisdom, the outlook isn’t promising. I think a higher principle and energy has to be involved, and with an urgency and rapidity that can’t wait for evolution. Unitive consciousness is the key, but not of the traditionally religious kind. As biology eventually became interpreted by chemistry, and chemistry by physics. Physics, and all of science, including human derived knowledge and wisdom would have figured it out by now.

No, all of the aforesaid must be interpreted by the kind of metaphysics (spiritual consciousness) that explains and encompasses them all, finally ridding the world of it own blight — discursive thought and separation consciousness. Mere mortals don’t have it within themselves to generate same, not on a wide scale.

The secret to doing so is hidden right where Teilhard said it would be, in matter; a page taken from his mystical Master who first declared that it was also hidden there, “like leaven in bread.” Who is sufficient for and equal to naming and activating this this universal mystery element hidden in all things. Only one. Asked Teilhard; “Who shall give us the meta-Christianity we have all been waiting for? Seventy years later, we’re still waiting, as Nero (a.k.a. science and religion) continues to fiddle, while Rome (Earth) burns.

As for burning, in1947 the so-called thermonuclear “Doomsday Clock” was set at 7 minutes before midnight. Today, it stands at 90 seconds before midnight.

    • Not sure how the earth transforms ITSELF into birds, bees, butterflies, human thought, etc. Such implies that the transforming agent is horizontally caused by the earth, making such material forms to intelligently appear or arise. By what mechanism do these created things arise and take shape from the material? And from what spiritual tradition (or traditions) does that notion arise?

    • “If our religion is based on salvation, our main emotions will be fear and trembling.
If our religion is based on wonder, our main emotion will be gratitude.” Carl Jung

This quote from C. Jung, I believe, is the basis of a new coherent story that can connect a critical mass of Humankind, consciously and effectively in Co-Creative Presence*, in the Noospheric dynamics of the Universe evolving since 13.8 billion years…

Hence we can, with equanimity (Stoicism), trust in the emerging synergistic coherence sincerely nurturing hope, while mindful of the medicine of wonder and enthusiasm for our well-being…

    • This was an exquisite film, so beautifully telling the essence of the environmental story we find ourselves in right now, how the human machine of ruin destroys the Earth each day and it can’t be stopped. I liked the stars of the film, the concerned, involved humans who didn’t hold back their caring and sense of responsibility to nature needing help, the salmon and of course the orcas. My favorite scene was when the water of the river gushed through the hole blown through the dam. It was happy, it made me smile to see water expressing joy to be free. What I liked most about the film was how it made me feel at home. These could be my community’s ecosystems in jeopardy. It could be my responsibility to speak out, gather others to help, meet with those who choose not to see the problem of endangering the natural world. I’m 3000 miles away but my role to act is just the same where I am. Thank you for sharing your devotion to the Earth, your tears and the rewards of working together.
