I was present for the original taping of Brian’s “Powers” and have drawn on them over the years for numerous insights. It’s good to see this shorthand list. Also, the substitution in #8 of what was originally “Transformation” to “Symbolization” feels right. The inclusion of conscious self-awareness explicitly in the Powers is interesting to me, and I’m glad to see it. This particular radical emergence has been one of the most transformational aspects of the cosmological Powers, for me. And key to the development of one’s own auto-cosmology. I guess I’m a bit confused because the list on another part of the website is different. It looks like one of the powers has been eliminated and some have changed. So will we be using this new list from here on out in the course?
